GETTING READY FOR THE RODEO PARADE.

1. Some people got tired of waiting for the parade to start.
2. George, Mary, Gene. We got a great spot next to the museum...lots of shade.
3. These kids were next to us and having a great time.
4. Maggie, the kid's dog.

6. Bessie Osborn and her son "Carl-the-plumber." This is in the museum courtyard right after the Old Timer's Reunion.
7. Zelma Canon and her great grandaughter. Zelma is President of the hospital auxillary where I volunteer and she volunteers at the museum...I love her very much.
8. An unknown Old Timer.
9. An unknown guy with Zelma. Zelma and Bessie are wearing these costumes because they sign in the Old Timers every year.

ONE WALL IS DONE. This is a very slow process.

1. One wall stripped of fabric, batting off, staples pulled, mud applied, rough spots sanded, two coats of paint.
2. Ceiling leak is patched...pink when wet...turns white when dry. The ceiling is Gene's. The walls are mine.
3. Mud.
4. More mud.
5. Gene cut 2 layers of dry wall to cover an old window above the sink and then cover that with this crappy paneling. We were just trying to make it flush with the rest of the wall.

DR. TOM GOES TO MEXICO.

The medical care trip to outside of Chihuahua City was cancelled earlier in April due to traveling concerns regarding the violence in Mexico. They had gathered 40 to 50 volunteers and $100,000. in medical supplies. These folks have been going for about 30 years so it was very disappointing.
Just got a note from Dr. Pruett that eight people (including him) are flying by private plane (a King Air) to Guerrero, state of Chihuahua, Mexico for a short 3 day clinic. YAY!
Check out the airstrip. The note says: elevation per WAC chart is 6890'
official measurement per chart 3700'
onsite measurement comes to 4500'
whatever that means.
