NO WAY!!!!

IT WAS "BLUE"..the parakeet stuffing his face at the bird feeder this morning!!!
HE LIVES!!
We havn't seen him for months and figured he froze.

They have been announcing on the local radio that you gotta keep your dogs and cats on your property or else you'll get a ticket.
And if your dog is out of your yard you gotta have it on a leash.
I thought "yeah, right"...but they've already given out 14 tickets.
14 down....4,000 to go.
A child was bitten by a dog and is getting rabies shots.
HER parents must be "somebody" in town cos there are always a fair number of dog bites.
Now if they can just do something about the spaying, neutering and pit bull fights...and cock fights.
I realize i'm asking for alot.

There sure are alot of fires out here...grass fires i mean.
Of course alot are started by idiots throwing cigarette butts out the window.
But Bessie told me...and i had not thought of it...that some are started by static electricity from the tiniest spark of any kind.
Sometimes people are driving along and end up dragging something from their truck that is metal of some sort...I.E. oil field equipment etc...and it touches the road and makes sparks.
So, they could be unknowingly setting little fires for miles along the roadside.
Anyways...we see alot of blackened areas all over the place.
Once one starts...the wind doesn't help in fighting it.

I guess I better go do some household chores.
